Project Highlights:
52 acre site, with Jim Brook dissecting site and bordering Secret Lake and existing wetlands. Perform site work and building excavations for 270,000 s.f. of retail space. Limited schedule of 20 months. Start 5/2003, complete 12/2004
- Install and maintain 23,000 lf of silt fence and hay bails protecting wetlands and Jim Brook
- Realign 2,500 lf of CT Route 44 and CT Route 179/44 intersection, including new two lane bridge over Jim Brook, new RCP drainage and traffic signalization.
- 350,000 cy of site cuts and fills
- Process 100,000 cy of on site material making DOT spec. processed aggregate, and sand for parking lots and backfills.
- Excavate and backfill foundations, interior plumbing and electrical for 270,000 sf of building foot prints.
- Install 21,000 sf of segmented retaining walls.
- Install a 385 gpm sewer pumping station. Concrete wet well 25 deep, two story concrete value chamber and emergency generator building.
- Cross under Jim Brook with gravity and forcemain sewer.
- 2,600 lf 8” gravity sewer with approximately 900 lf of cuts 20’ deep.
- 2,400 lf of 6” ductile iron force main sewer with six 8’ dia. concrete cleanout structures.
- Divert Jim Brook, Install two 16’ x 10’ x 80’ box culverts.
- Install two Vortec particle separators Model 5000
- 9,100 lf of various ADS drainage piping and 90 catch basins.
- 4,000 lf of 12” domestic water main.
- 10,000 lf of electrical duct bank encased in concrete.
- 775,000 sf of paving
- Landscaping package valued at $515,000.00
